THE LEAD —  The Lynx, fired up after last night's nail-biter, looked to finish NAC play on a high note. While SUNY Cobleskill, upset that their six-game win streak came to an end last night, came into Minuteman with hopes of ending their regular season on a high note. The game started neck and neck, but a slew of fouls kept the Lynx careful as the Tigers were able to create distance. Lesley ultimately fell 83-56

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Tigers were the first on the board.

  • But the Lynx responded by hitting two back-to-back threes to regain the lead.

  • The Tigers then hit one of their own, and Savannah Gravitt sank her second of the game in response.

  • The Tigers then stepped up their defense and pulled away as the opening quarter came to a close.

  • Within the first four minutes of the second, the Lynx accumulated six fouls and were forced to play conservatively.

  • The Tigers took advantage of this softer defense and went on a ten-point run followed by a seven-point run.

  • The teams went into the locker rooms with a 46-24 score.

  • Despite the score, the Lynx didn't slow down. They went shot-for-shot with the tigers in the third and put up their best offensive quarter of the game with 18 points.

  • They continued to fight in the fourth, but now with their defense. They held SUNY Cobleskill to 17 points, their lowest of the game.

  • However, the effort came too late as the Lynx ultimately fell 83-56

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Leila Chisholm led the Lynx in points with 13, assists with seven, and steals with four. She also tied the team high for blocks.

  • Madalynn Biagi finished right behind with 12 points of her own. She did lead the team in rebounds with six. She handed out the only other assist of the game.

  • On the other side of the ball, Isabella Santana led the Tigers with 21 points. She also had three rebounds and an assist.
