THE LEAD — Following a big win on Tuesday, the Lynx looked to continue their success as they headed to Thomas College for the final time this season. The Terriers went into the game looking to put an end to their losing streak. The Terriers got off to a hot start, but the Lynx rallied back to keep the game close in the first. But the Terriers were untouchable in the third and ultimately took home the 71-36 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Emily Hagerty from Thomas immediately made a layup, and the Terriers were off, putting up 11 in the opening five minutes.

Until Leila Chisholm ended the run with a three to end the run.

Madaylynn Biagi then sank a three-pointer of her own, and Charlotte Meixsell put up another to pull the Lynx within six.

The Terriers made a couple jumpers to end the first up 19-9

Lesley scored first in the second, but Thomas answered with an eight-point run.

The Lynx's defense started to get going as the first half was winding down.

Despite their best efforts, they went into the locker rooms down 33-18

The Terriers came out of the locker room on fire. They put up both their best offensive and defensive quarters of the whole game. Scoring 25 while only allowing seven.

A layup as the fourth started put Thomas College up by 35, but the Lynx have continued to show that no matter the score, they do not quit.

Meixsell sank another three, and both teams continued to go shot for shot.

But the effort was too late, Lesley ultimately fell 71-36
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Chisholm led the Lynx in points with 15, played all 40 minutes, and tied the team high of two steals. She sank two three-pointers, grabbed two rebounds, and dished out an assist.

On the other side of the ball, Alawnah Dunda grabbed nine rebounds, a team high. She also led the Lynx with three assists and tied the team high with two steals.

For the Terriers, Hagerty really shined, putting up 13 points, including a team high three threes and going perfect from the free throw line. She tied the team highs of three steals and five rebounds. On top of that, she handed out three assists.

Pryelle Kesse-Beda set a new team season record, blocking five shots while also tying the team lead with 14 points and five rebounds.

Lesley returns home to take on VTSU Johnson on Tuesday, February 10th at 8:00 PM in a game originally scheduled for January 25th.

At 7:30 on February 10th, the Terriers will head out to Lyndonville to take on the VTSU Hornets.
