THE LEAD — Coming off a rough first game of the new year, the Lynx looked to turn things around to start their roadtrip. The Fighting Tigers, who were also coming off a bad loss, were able to pick things back up. Cobleskill's strong defensive performance kept Lesley's offense in check throughout the game, while the Fighting Tigers' offense delivered one of the best performances of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-
Right from the tipoff, the Fighting Tigers were in control. Starting the game on a 15-point run before Leila Chisholm grabbed a rebound and made a layup to get the Lynx rolling.
-
Cobleskill tried to repeat their previous quarter by starting the second on a 10-point run, but Lesley's offense started to warm up. Alawnah Dunda tipped in a layup and made an And-1.
-
After a couple more baskets, including the sole three for the Lynx from Chisholm, the Tigers fought back and went on yet another run to end the half, 40-13.
-
The third, however, was the Lynx's best offensive quarter, but by then the deficit was insurmountable.
-
The Fighting Tigers never really backed down, scoring 19 and 17 in the final two quarters to finish the game 76-28
