THE LEAD – The Lesley University men's golf program earned a second-place finish in the team standings on Wednesday afternoon at the Mitchelle College Invitational hosted by the Mariners at the Shennecossett Golf Course.
LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Lesley junior Marc Bota Carbonell (Mallorca, Spain) was the low Lynx for the fifth consecutive tournament, carding a 76 (+5) to finish fourth overall in the field.
- First years Vincent Spirito (Lynn, Mass.) and Adam Paradise (Portland, Maine) both posted rounds of 84 to share seventh place with sophomore Reuben Wasserman (Toronto, Ontario) who also registered an 84.
- First year Peyton Long (Waterville Valley, N.H.) recorded a new collegiate low in the Lynx No. 5 slot, shooting an 88 to finish 10th overall.
WINNING PERFORMANCE
- Wentworth cruised to the team win with four rounds in the 70's including a one-over-par showing by Garrett Kendall for modality honors at 72 to help the Leopards come in at 298. Host Mitchell finished third in the field with a team score of 371.
UP NEXT
- The Lynx are back next Tuesday, September 23 when they take on the Brett Williamson Invitational at Tekoa Country Club hosted by Westfield State University.
