THE LEAD – The Lesley University men's golf program posted a third-place finish on Wednesday afternoon at the 2025 Saints Invitational hosted by Emmanuel College at the South Shore Country Club in Hingham, Mass.
LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Lesley junior Marc Bota Carbonell (Mallorca, Spain) continued his strong play finishing the afternoon with a 73 (+1) on the card to finish second overall in the four-team field.
- First year Vincent Spirito (Lynn, Mass.) was next in the clubhouse with third place tie at 79 (+7) and was one of only four golfers to break 80 on the day.
- A pair of Lynx made their season and collegiate debuts rounding out the Lesley lineup as first years Nathan Young (Lemoyne, Pa.) and Peyton Long (Waterville Valley, N.H.) closed things out for Lesley. The rookie duo posted scores of 104 and 105, respectively.
WINNING PERFORMANCE
- Rhode Island College took home the team win posting a 319 (+31), 12 strokes better than host Emmanuel College who placed second at 331 (+43). Elms College rounded out the field in fourth with a 380.
UP NEXT
- The Lynx are idle until next Wednesday, Sept. 17 when they head to Shennecossett Golf Course in Groton, Conn. for the Mitchell Invitational II.
