THE LEAD – Lesley junior Marc Bota Carbonell (Mallorca, Spain) earned medalist honors carding a 72 (+2) to set the LU single-round record and lead the Lynx to a fourth-place team showing on Sunday afternoon at the SUNY Cobleskill Invitational.
LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Bota Carbonell got off to a slower start, playing the first five holes at +3 before shooting one-under par through the final 13 holes including a pair of birdies on the 15th and 17th holes to secure medalist honors in the clubhouse.
- First year Vincent Spirito (Lynn, Mass.) was next in line with a season-low 79 despite a tough finish with a bogey on 17 and double on 18.
- Sophomore Jeremy Ouellette (Old Saybrook, Conn.) closed the day strong with a birdie on 18 to salvage an 80 (+10) while first year Adam Paradise (Portland, Maine) rounded out the keepers with an 86.
- The team finished at +37 overall for a 317, the second-lowest team score in program history.
WINNING PERFORMANCE
- For the second straight day, SUNY Delhi took home the team crown with a total of 303 (+23) paced by four scores sub-77.
UP NEXT
- The Lynx are idle in tournament play until Monday, September 8 when they'll head to Jay, Vt. For the 2025 Lou Jarvis Invitational hosted by VTSU Johnson at Jay Peak CC.
