THE LEAD—Competing against a field filled with teams from all over New England, the Lesley University men's golf team saw Jeremy Ouellette (Old Saybrook, Conn.) and Hunter Treanor (Bulverde, Texas) both represent the Lynx in day one of the RIC Invitational. 

After the first round of this weekend's invitational, Roger Williams currently leads 310 (+22). Western Connecticut State aren't far behind in second at 317 (+29), in the third its Wesleyan (Conn.) at 319 (+31), followed by Springfield and Suffolk rounding out the top five in a tie for fourth at 323 (+35).

LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS

• Ouellette paced the Lynx at the end of the first day tying for 37th when he carded a 89 (+17). His best holes on the day was on the back nine when he pared on back-to-back holes at 14 and 15.
• Treanor was the other Leslet representative on the course and he posted a 47th place finish after day one scoring a 103 (+31). Treanor saved his best for last at the opening round of the RIC Invitational when the first year earned a par on hole 18.
