Title: Head Coach - Women's Volleyball

Coach Cory Linhares joined the Lesley Women's Volleyball staff in 2025 as Head Coach of the Lynx

"I am excited to have Coach Linhares lead our women's volleyball program," said Campagna. "During the search it was apparent that his work ethic, energy and enthusiasm will play a key part in building up our program to new heights. Coach has a proven track record of turning around struggling teams so I can't wait to see Lynx volleyball grow under his leadership."

Prior to joining the Lynx, Linhares served as the Head Coach at Bunker Hill Community College for the past two seasons. In his two years with the Bulldogs, he guided the program to a 34-7 record and a NJCAA Region XXI Championship in the fall of 2024. In hist first year at Bunker Hill, he led the team to its best record in program history at 14-3 which resulted in a conference tournament semifinals appearance as well. In the off-season, he coached the 15 Nationals Team at Mass Premier Courts where his squad medalled in three of its seven events. 

Before Bunker Hill, Linhares was the Head Coach for both the boys and girls volleyball teams at Saint Raphael Academy (RI) from 2019-23. From 2019-23, he was able to lead the Saint Ray's volleyball program to three RIIL State Championships, as well as earning two RIIL Coach of the Year awards.

"Joining Lesley is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication," said Linhares. "Since I began coaching, my goal has always been to coach at a four-year university where I can positively impact athletes at the highest level. Now that I finally have this opportunity, the real work begins! I couldn't be more excited to work alongside the great community and staff here at Lesley!"

Linhares has always been a coach as he served multiple coaching positions during his time at BMC Durfee High School. Before he was the Assistant Girls Basketball Coach, he was the Girls Basketball JV and Freshman coach too from 2017-2021. He also served as the Assistant Girls Basketball Coach at Randolph High School for the 2021-2022 Academic Year. He also got his coaching career started at BMC Durfee where he was the Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach from 2015-2019 and the Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach from 2014-2019. 

Linhares is currently pursuing a degree in Liberal Arts at Bristol Community College.
