GAME OVERVIEW:
BOSTON, MA.-- The Lesley Women's tennis team fell on the road to the Simmons College Sharks on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 8-1. The Lynx drop to 0-6 overall, while the Eagles advance to 4-2.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Simmons swept the doubles portion of the match, with Sarah Mariski and Megan McKeever leading the way by taking down Morgan Anderson and Brooke Whitten 8-4. Leah Bonis and Libby Weed defeated Joselyn Martinez and Annie Dai 8-3, with Jordan Blair and Carolyn Brazil losing to Sara Fucillo and Avery Halloran in a close 8-6 match.
- Simmons nearly swept singles, but Brazil was able to earn a victory over Emily Lopez 6-2 and 6-0. The Sharks did get wins by Bonis over Whitten, Mariski over Anderson, Weed over Martinez, and Halloran over Blair.
