Coach Martins joined the Lesley softball staff during the fall of 2025 as an Assistant Coach.

Martins has worked in the Massachusetts club softball scene for over 20 years and is well respected in many coaching circles, getting his start with the South Coast Renegades where he served as Head Coach for five seasons.

Since 2018, Coach Martins has served as a Head Coach and Director of Operations for East Coast Pitching, a private softball company that provides technical instruction on pitching mechanics, pitch selection and game strategy to players ranging from youth to collegiate levels. 

He also served as a Head Coach for the South Coast Girls Softball travel team out of Fairhaven, Mass. for three seasons before starting his own venture as an Owner and Coach for the South Coast Ladybugs program out of Acushnet, Mass. 

Prior to coaching Softball, Martins served as the Vice President of Operations for the Greater New Bedford Youth Baseball League.

He holds an Associates Degree in Computerized Business Management from New England Tech. and is tri-lingual in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
