THE LEAD - In their last NAC matchup, Lesley swept a doubleheader against VTSU Lyndon. They go into the final weekend of the regular season on the outside of the playoffs, but not eliminated. All that stands in their way is nationally ranked Husson. The Lynx are not ones to back away from a challenge. In the first game, the Eagles came out with an incredible pitching staff and held the Lynx to a single baserunner. In the second game, the Lynx bats were better, but Husson's unstoppable offense was no match.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 1)

  • The Eagles scored first, putting up five in the first.

  • Then, in the second, they added another three and four more in the third.

  • In the fourth, Shae Thomas made it to first due to an error; she'd be the sole baserunner for the Lynx in game one.

  • In the 4th, the Eagles were held to one run.

  • They would complete their no-hitter 13-0.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS (Game 1)

  • Thomas was the only player on the Lynx not to strike out and was the only one to reach first. However, she did commit an error.

  • Camryn King on the Eagles went 3 for 3 with a triple and a homer. She drove in a team-high four runs while also leading Husson with two stolen bases.

  • The Pitching staff combined for a nearly perfect game. The bid was broken up by an error in the 4th. Three pitchers combined for 5.0 innings, allowing no hits, no walks, and striking out 9 in the no-hitter.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 2)

  • Isabella Moscoso started the game off with a single, ending the hit drought.

  • In the bottom half, the Eagles drove in due to an error and two stolen bases. Then in the second, they drove in two more, all off hits.

  • In the top of the 4th, the Lynx managed to load the bases, but they weren't able to do anything with it.

  • In the bottom half, the Eagles had a huge rally scoring eight, and the Lynx were unable to score in the 5th, ultimately falling 11-0

INSIDE THE NUMBERS (Game 2)

  • Eleni Vrahatis accounted for half of the team's hits in this game. She went 2 for 2. It's her first game of the season, where she batted 1.000

  • At the plate, Sophia Lynch had a fantastic game for the Eagles. She homered and doubled in her 2 hits. She drove in a team-high four runs and scored one herself.

  • Husson's six stolen bases are the most the Lynx have allowed all season and tied the season high for the most in a NAC matchup. Husson stole six in the other two games.

UP NEXT

  • The Lynx will finish their regular season tomorrow as they head up to UMaine Presque Isle for a doubleheader starting at 10 am.

  • The Eagles finished their regular season today and await the final seeding for the NAC tournament. They have locked in the #1 seed.
