THE LEAD - As the season winds down, it's crunch time for the Lynx. Game 1 started off shaky, but the Lynx regrouped quickly. However, a great pitching performance from the Wildcats made catching up difficult. Game 2, however, was a much different story. The teams traded the lead back and forth all game until a rally from Bay Path gave them a big lead. Lesley was unfazed as they tied it back up in the 5th. But another rally sealed the game for the Wildcats.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 1)

The Wildcats started the game with a rally that finished with a homer. They put up six in the first.

The Lynx responded as soon as they could. Isabella Moscoso singled to lead off and then made it to second on a wild pitch. Leah St. John then doubled and brought her in.

In the 3rd, the Bay Path put up another two and one more in the 4th.

They loaded the bases up in the 5th, and a series of singles and walks gave them another six runs.

The Lynx would fall 15-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS (Game 1)

The Lynx only managed five hits in game 1. St. John accounted for two of them, going 2 for 2 with the sole RBI of the game.

In the other dugout, Sophie Verrengia had an outstanding game. She went 2 for 3 with a walk. Her homer helped her bring in three RBIs.

On the mound for the Wildcats, Kaitlyn Kerstetter threw a complete 5.0-inning game. She gave up one run on five hits while striking out seven and not walking anyone.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 2)

Bay Path was on the board first in game 2 as well, but they only managed one run.

Lesley responded right away. Moscoso started the game off with a single again and stole second again. A wild pitch gave her third, and a groundout from Eleni Vrahatis brought her home.

St. John then drew a four-pitch walk. A wild pitch and a passed ball brought her to third, and a groundout from Shae Thomas drove in another run for the Lynx, giving them the lead.

In the 2nd, the Wildcats would tie it back up, and another in the 3rd would give them the lead.

St. John got on via error in the 3rd, and Thomas followed with a single. Jess O'Neill then singled and tied the game back up.

Once again, the Wildcats took the lead back with a three-run 4th and another one in the 5th.

Down by four, the Lynx got to work. Moscoso doubled to start the inning, and then St. John homered. The startled Wildcats gave up an error and let O'Neil on. Madison Herbert then doubled, and Lauren Martin singled, which tied up the game at seven.

Bay Path then put together a six-run 6th to pull away.

In the bottom half, Vrahatis singled and stole second, and a double from St. John brought her in.

It was the last run the Lynx were able to drive in as they ultimately lost 17-8.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS (Game 2)

St. John put on a show in both games. She went 2 for 3 with a walk, a double, and a home run. She drove in three and scored three runs. She also was responsible for a double play.

On Senior Day, Herbert played her very best. She pitched 10.0 innings across both games with 12 earned runs and three strikeouts. At the she went 3 for 5 combined with a double and two RBIs.

Taylor Moreau did everything for Bay Path. At the plate, she went 3 for 5 with a double while scoring two runs. She stole a base. Plus, in the field, she turned two double plays.
