THE LEAD – Lesley senior Zephaniaya Alvarado (Manhattan, N.Y.) earned All-Conference honors to lead the men's cross country program to a fourth place team finish at the 2025 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Cross Country Championship Race on Saturday, November 1 on the Husson University course.
LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Alvarado finished seventh overall with a time of 28:59 as the top LU finisher in the field. It marks the first time since Lesley re-joined the NAC that the program has had an All-Conference finisher and just the third time in program history that a runner has earned NAC All-Conference honors. Alvarado joins 2024 Lesley Hall of Fame inductee Fran Cusick as the only two runners in program history to earn All-NAC honors as Cusick was an all-conference honoree in the NAC in 2006 and 2007 before Lesley transitioned into the NECC the following year. It also marks the first time a Lesley runner earned All-Conference honors since Zachary Spatz finished fifth in the 2021 NECC Championship race for First Team All-NECC honors.
- First year Jonathan Le Maitre (Easton, Pa.) was the next Lynx finisher in 22nd place with a showing of 32:27 while Liam McNeil (Hudson, N.H.) clocked in at 39:05, good for 35th.
WINNING PERFORMANCES
- Maine Maritime's William Spaulding took home the individual crown with an 8K time of 27:42, besting the field by more than 30 seconds.
- UMaine Farmington captured the team crown and 2025 Championship, edging out Thomas College in the scoring by just five points. The Beavers picked up their third consecutive NAC title with 35 points while the Terriers finished in second with 40 points followed by MMA in third at 58 points.
