THE LEAD – In their final match of the regular season, the Lynx looked to wrap up their 2026 campaign with one last win. However, the Colonels came to play and swept the match, only allowing a win to Thomas Nicol and Jeremy Ouellette in their doubles match.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

Doubles:

• Leading off doubles in match two, the pairing of Nicol and Ouellette won 6-2 in the opening matchup, Lynx's sole win of the day.

• In the second spot of doubles, Bennett Locke and James Ontiveros were defeated 0-6 

• The last pairing of doubles saw Reuben Wasserman and Vincent Spirito downed in a 6-3 match.

Singles:

• Leading off singles action for Lesley, Ouelette was defeated 6-1, 6-0.

• The second spot saw Nicol fall in a 6-2, 6-0 bout.

• In singles three, Wasserman was defeated 6-0, 6-1

• Ontiveros dropped the four spot 6-0, 6-0

• Lockett fell in the fifth match 6-0, 6-1

• Finally, in the last singles spot of the first match, Spirito fell in a competitive 7-5, 6-4

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• The Lynx finish their regular season 2-9, their second-best finish since their 2018 campaign.

• This was the Colonel's first win of the season.

• Their last win came on April 23, 2019, ending an 87-match streak.

UP NEXT

• Lesley will host the SUNY Delhi Broncos for two matches on Saturday April, 18. The match is set to start at noon.

• VTSU Johnson will host the VTSU Lyndon Hornets for their last two matches of the season on April 18 at 1.
