THE LEAD — After a rough last weekend, the Lynx looked to rebound as they headed up to Waterville, ME, to take on Thomas College. The Terriers, also coming off a pair of losses, hoped to turn their luck around in their final match against Lesley of the regular season. In a contest that was back and forth for the majority, it seemed to be anyone's game. But the Terriers started to pull away in the home stretch, and the Lynx couldn't keep up. The Terriers took home the win 82-67
HOW IT HAPPENED
-
The Terriers struck first with Brady Adams sinking a three-pointer in the opening seconds.
-
For the first five minutes, the two teams traded baskets, and a CJ Leonard layup tied up the game at eight.
-
The next five were all terriers as they went on an 11-2 run
-
Thomas continued to add to their lead, a Nate Herbert three put them up 14
-
The Lynx started to wake up, and a handful of layups helped them cut that lead in half as the first started to wind down
-
Both teams put up shot after shot coming out of the locker rooms. The Lynx weren't able to close the gap much, but they also weren't falling behind either
-
Tarrell Joseph's layup at the ten-minute mark put the Lynx within 5, but it was the closest they would get all game.
-
In just over three minutes, the Terriers had taken a 69-59 lead
-
The Terriers refused to coast, going up 19 with just over two minutes left in the game.
-
Lesley ultimately fell 82-67
