CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Lesley University men's basketball first-year shooting guard Tavon Rhodes (Dorchester, Mass.) was named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference earlier this afternoon. 

Rhodes enjoyed an impressive collegiate debut, dropping a game-high 27 points for the Lynx in Friday's opener vs. Gordon College. The shooting guard was efficient from the field, going 10-for-14 from the floor with a pair of triples. He also paced Lesley with a team-high eight rebounds, adding two steals and one assist over 31 minutes of action.

Rhodes and the Lynx have a busy week as the squad has three games with two being on the road. Lesley kicks the week off with a non-conference matchup at Curry College on Tuesday, November 12, at 7:30 p.m., then returns home to take on Southern Maine Community College on Thursday, November 14, at 7:30 p.m. The squad caps off the week by taking part in the Black Collegiate Coaches Classic hosted by UMass Boston versus Brandeis University on Friday, November 15 at 5:00 p.m.
