CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Lesley University eSports program reached another major milestone as its Marvel Rivals team secured the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) East D4 Championship, completing a perfect 10-0 regular season and earning a berth in the national tournament following their win over UMass Boston. 

The Lynx dominated conference play from start to finish, showcasing consistent teamwork, strategic execution, and individual skill throughout the season. Their undefeated record cements their place as one of the top collegiate Marvel Rivals teams in the country heading into national competition.

Head Coach Ibo Rivera praised the team's discipline and growth over the course of the season.

"This group committed to excellence from day one," said Rivera. "Going 10-0 in a competitive conference like the NECC isn't easy, but they earned it through preparation, communication, and trust in each other. I'm incredibly proud of how they've represented Lesley, and we're excited to take this momentum into the national tournament."

Lesley's eSports program has continued to build momentum in recent years, and this championship marks a significant achievement for both the players and the university's growing competitive gaming presence.

Director of Athletics Dan Campagna highlighted the importance of the accomplishment for the broader Lesley community.

"This championship is a testament to the hard work of our student-athletes and the leadership of Coach Rivera," said Campagna. "Our eSports program continues to elevate Lesley's profile on a national stage, and we're thrilled to see this team advance to the next level of competition. They've set a new standard of excellence."

In addition to the NECC title, the squad also captured the ECAC Open Division Championship for the Marvel Rivals title, going 9-0 in league play.

With the NECC title secured, the Lynx now turn their focus to the national tournament, where they will look to continue their undefeated run against top programs from across the country.
