THE LEAD - The Lynx look to wrap up their regular season with a four-game series against the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers. The Tigers come into the series looking to get the highest spot they can in the NAC tournament, while the Lynx are playing spoiler. SUNY Cobleskill's offense was too much for Lesley as they handily won both games by six runs.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 1)

The Lynx got right to work. Andres Moreno started the bottom of the first with a four-pitch walk. Then Anothony Nyhuis doubled to follow, and Grant Bazinet doubled to score them both.

It wasn't until the 3rd when the Fighting Tigers fought back. They tied up the game at two apiece.

Then in the 5th, they rallied with a five-run inning.

The Lynx were not deterred. Once again, Moreno started off the inning with a walk, and this time Nyhuis tripled to score him.

A pitch then hit Bazinet, and Gerlys Martinez drew a four-pitch walk to load the bases. Jacob Brown drew a walk for an RBI, then Caden Shott hit into a fielder's choice for another one.

After allowing three runs, Cobleskill turned around and put up three of their own to keep their distance. Then they added another on the 7th.

The Lynx did load the bases in the bottom of the 9th, but they weren't able to bring anyone home as they lost 11-5.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS (Game 1)

Nyhuis was all over the place in game one. He went 3 for 5 with a double and a triple. He drove in a run, and he stole a base. He did not strike out.

Benjamin Coffey was able to stop the Fighting Tigers' offense after they had taken a big lead. He pitched 2.1 innings and only allowed a run on four hits and two walks.

Greg Mable on Cobleskill had a great outing as well. In his first decision of the year, he got the win after pitching 5.0 scoreless innings. He allowed four hits and a walk while recording two strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 2)

The Fighting Tigers started off hot with two homers in the first inning. They would end the top of the first up eight.

In the bottom of the second, Brown led off with a triple. Moreno then singled to put the Lynx on the board.

The Fighting Tigers put up another run in the third to keep the deficit at eight.

To start the bottom of the 4th, Caden Shott hit a lead-off home run. The Lynx kept the momentum going in the 5th when Nyhuis singled to left, followed by another one from Bazinet. An error let Bazinet make it to third while Nyhuis scored.

Neither team would cross home again, and the Lynx would fall 9-3.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS (Game 2)

Nyhuis accounted for two of the Lynx's eight total hits when he went 2 for 4. He hit a double and accounted for a run.

The Lynx turned three double plays in a 7-inning game. Tying the record for most by any team in the NAC, however, both other games were full 9 innings. The Lynx averaged just under a double play every two innings

On the mound for the Tigers, Jared Ainsworth was untouchable in his 2.1 innings. He gave up two hits and struck out three.
