THE LEAD - Coming off a tough week they Lynx looked to get back on the right foot with a weekend series against Thomas College. The Lynx had the lead in the first game, but a surge from the Terriers was all they needed for a win. Then, in the second, a home run from Jacob Brown was just enough to give the Lynx a 3-2 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 1)

The terriers were first on the board, putting up three in the 1st.

The Lynx regained their composure and were able to retire three men straight in the next two innings.

Then in the 4th, they loaded up the bases. Brown on third, Owen Finnegan on second, and Christopher Wallace on first. Logan Shudy drew a walk for the first run. Then Andres Moreno singled to score two more and tie it up.

A passed ball allowed Shudy to score and take the lead. Then a single from Anthony Nyhuis drove in one more.

Thomas responded by putting up four of their own and retaking the lead.

They repeated that in the 6th, going up 11-5.

In the 8th, the Lynx had the bases loaded again. Grant Bazinet was on third, Brown second, and Nathan Young on first. A single from Wallace scored two runs.

That's all they were able to manage as they fell 11-7.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS (Game 1)

No Lynx had more than a single hit.

Wallace had the best day at the plate. He went 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in two and scored another run.

Payton Albin pitched a great 3.0 innings. When the Lynx were down big, he stopped the Terriers in their tracks. He gave up only two hits and struck out 3.
- In the other dugout, Nick Griffel put on a show. He went 3 for 5 and recorded five RBI's as well as two runs of his own. He also stole a base.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 2)

The Lynx were the first to score in this game. Payne Johnson singled up the middle. Then Finnegan doubled to get two men in scoring position. Young grounded into an out, but it scored a run. Then a passed ball allowed another.

Both teams were quiet until the 6th when Brown homered to start off the inning.

The Lynx then committed an error that gave the Terriers a run.

In the following inning, Thomas hit a lead-off home run, but it wasn't enough. The Lynx won 3-2.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS (Game 2)

Payne Johnson was the only Lynx with more than one hit. He went 2 for 3 and accounted for a run.

The pitching staff was the real MVP. They brought a combined no-hitter into the 4th.

Jack Butler for his first win of the season. He pitched 3.0 innings without giving up a hit and only walking 3.

Roy Lenhard came in to relieve him. In his 2.0 innings, he gave up three hits and struck out 2.

For the Terriers, Griffel tried to carry the offense on his back. He went 1 for 3 with a home run. He accounted for half the runs and half the hits for the team. He also hit a sacrifice grounder.

The Lynx are headed to Lyndonville, VT, to take on the Hornets on Wednesday in a doubleheader starting at Noon.
