THE LEAD — After falling to Fisher by walkoffs two nights in a row a couple of weeks ago, the Lynx headed back to Lynn hungry for revenge. The Lynx got the lead early, but the Falcons took it right back and never looked back. In the 7th, the Falcons continued to pile on the runs, and eventually the run rule came into play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-
Andres Moreno started the game with a walk and then stole second. A single to right put the Lynx on the board first, but it would be the only run they scored in the first.
-
The Falcons got right to work as well. Their second batter homered, then a few batters later hit a three-run bomb. At the end of the first, Fisher was up 6-1.
-
They kept it going in the third. An inside-the-park home run helped them score five runs in the inning.
-
It wasn't until the 5th that the Lynx's bats started up again. Owen Finnegan led off the inning with a single, and an error got him to second. Moreno singled again this time to score a run. An error got him all the way to third.
-
Jacob Brown then got to the plate and grounded out to short, but did get the RBI.
-
In the bottom of the 7th, with a runner on second and third, the Falcons singled and both runs scored. The run rule came into play to end the game.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Donavan Raley did his best against the Falcons' unstoppable offense. His 3.1 innings were the longest of the team. He let up a team-low two runs and five hits. He struck out high of two but walked four.
-
Angel Feliz of the Falcons stole the show. He went 3 for 5 with a double and a home run. He drove in five runs and recorded a run as well. He also stole a base.
