THE LEAD - The Lynx came into day two of their four-game series against the Eagles hungry to end their recent skid. Both games were back and forth and had to go into extras, but the Eagles were able to walk off both games.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 1)

Andres Moreno started the game with a single up the middle. Anthony Nyhuis then drew a full count walk. A sac bunt from Grant Bazinet moved the runners up, and a double from Gerlys Martinez.

Caden Shott was then hit by a pitch, and Nathan Young singled to left to load the bases. A single from Owen Finnegan then singled, and the Lynx were up 3-0.

The Eagles responded by hitting a two-run homer and adding another run to tie it up.

Moreno singled to start off the inning again. A bunt and a passed ball got him to third, and a single from Martinez gave them the lead again.

But once again the Eagles tied it up in the bottom of the 2nd, and in the third they opened it right up by putting up four runs.

Nyhuis started the 4th with a single, and a double from Martinez gave him his fourth RBI of the game.

They kept it going in the 5th. Finnegan singled to start it off, and Jacob Brown did the same. A bunt from Logan Shudy scored a run. A sac fly from Moreno scored another to put the Lynx behind one

Martinez drew a lead-off four-pitch walk, and Finnegan drew one too. A single from Brown tied it up.

But the Eagle retook the lead with a homer. They were up 9-8

In the 7th, Nyhuis drew a full count walk, Bazinet singled, and a sac fly from Martinez tied it back up.

Neither team did much offensively in the 8th or 9th, so into the 10th they went.

The Lynx weren't able to get anyone across the plate. In the bottom half, they loaded up the bases, and a hit batsman lost them the game.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS (Game 1)

Martinez had a great game at the plate. He went 4 for 4 with a sac fly and a walk. He doubled twice, drove in five runs, and scored two runs.

Benjamin Coffey threw 4.1 innings, allowed a single hit and a home run. He was led two and stuck out two.

For the Eagles, Cam Rendell had a big game. He went 2 for 4 with a homerun. He recorded four RBIs and scored a run. He also drew a walk.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 2)

Husson was the first on the board in game two.

Lesley started the second with Martinez drawing a walk. Shott bunted next, and Christopher Wallace also walked to load the bases. A wild pitch scored one.

Shudy then walked to reload the bases. A single from Moreno and a double from Nyhuis put the Lynx up 4-1.

The Eagles scored another to chip away at the deficit in the second. In the 4th, they tied it up.

In the 6th, Wallace walked, Shudy reached on an error, and Moreno walked to load the bases. A sac fly from Nyhuis gave the Lynx back the lead.

In the bottom of the 7th, with their backs against the wall, Husson tied the game to send it to extras. Then, in the bottom of the 8th, the Eagles walked it off for the second time in the day.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS (Game 2)

Although he only went 1 for 3, Moreno did a little bit of everything for the team. He scored two runs and walked twice. He stole a base. He was also responsible for a double play.

Payton Albin pitched 3.0 innings, gave up five hits but only one run, and only walked one.

On the mound for the Eagles. Ryan Garner got his first win of the season as he pitched the final 2.2 innings. Allowing just two walks while striking out three.

The Lynx will head to Dean on Thursday, April 9th. First pitch is set for 3:30.
