Cambridge, MA- Right Handed Pitcher Dylan Langston has been named the NECC Pitcher of the Week. The award comes on the heels of a lockdown performance from The Sheriff; pitching 8 innings over two games, starting one and finishing both. In those 8 innings, he recorded 13 strikeouts without walking a batter and only allowing 3 hits. He also recorded a complete game shutout against conference foe New England College, helping Lesley secure the 2-0 victory. 

On the year, Langston has lead the way for the Lynx pitching staff. He has a record of 7-2 over 9 starts, with a pair of complete games across 12 appearances. He has recorded 80 strikouts over 62.0 innings pitched to go along with an earned run average of 2.90. In the conference, he is first in innings pitched (62.0), is tied for the lead in wins (7), third in earned run average (2.90), tied second in strikeouts (80) and it fourth in strikeouts per 9 innings (11.61). 

Nationally, Langston is 8th in strikeout to walk ratio (8.89), 19th in strikeouts (80), 32nd in walks per 9 (1.31) and 36th in WHIP (0.98). 

Langston will look to continue his stellar season this weekend as the Lynx move into the NECC conference tournament. Game 1 is set for Friday, May 5th against the Mariners of Mitchell College.
