Cambridge, MA- Following the regular season, four members of the baseball team were selected as members of the NECC All-Conference team. Those four included Dylan Langston (pitcher), James Brandon (designated hitter), Adam Budorick (outfield) and Colby Jacobs (outfield). All four are first time selections.
Following a very successful 2022 campaign, Langston found ways to continue growing on the mound to help lead to his selection. The right hander from Chesapeake, VA made 12 appearances on the mound with 9 starts. In those outings, he racked up 80 strikeouts, setting a new single season program record. To go along with that, he collected 7 wins with 2 beings in conference. His ERA of 2.90 was among tops in the conference, and a K/9 of 11.61 has him set on pace to break another single season record.
The Junior 1B/DH recieved his first all-conference selection as a designated hitter. The native of Manhattan Beach, California batted 0.410 on the season, good for third in the conference. He would drive in 29 runs for the Lynx over 32 games played, having also reached base at a clip of 0.516. On the year, his 12 hit by pitches set a new single season record for the Lynx, and his OBP has him on track to break the single season record for the program held by teammate Andrew Gryniewicz.
The sophomore outfielder from Charlton, Massachusetts helped pace the Lynx offense over the course of the seaosn en route to his first all-conference selection. A powerful prescence in the middle of the Lesley lineup, Jacobs clubbed 6 home runs over 31 games, good for second in the conference. He would also drive in 23 runs and collect 15 extra base hits. His three triples on the year have him tied for the single season record with teammates Adam Budorick and Justin Dennett.
The senior outfielder from Glenview, Illinois established himself in the leadoff spot for the Lynx as a key run producer. Budorick hit 0.321 on the year with 24 stolen bases, setting a new program record he had established the year before. His 24 stolen bases were also good for second in the conference. He would drive in 24 total runs over the course of the season. A steady part of the lineup, Budorick also started in all 36 games on the year. His 33 runs scored on the year also set a new single season record for the program.
