Lesley Athletic Director Dan Campagna had nothing but high praise for the event and this year's class. "The Lesley Athletic Department was elated to combine this year's Hall of Fame event with Lesley's Fall Weekend and I loved having the opportunity to connect with the inductees and their families before and after the ceremony," said Campagna. "We had a great turnout, the energy in the room was palpable and some of our current student-athletes got to be a part of the night which made it even more special. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite Lesley traditions and I think it will continue to get even better each year."

Dan Flynn – Men's & Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Head Coach (Coach)
Coach Flynn was a true icon of Lesley University Cross Country and later Track & Field. During his eight-year coaching tenure, he put together an illustrious career, launching the Cross Country program in 2006, the Indoor Track & Field program in 2009 and the Outdoor Track & Field program in 2012.

From 2006 to 2012, Flynn established a pair of Cross Country dynasties that have not been matched to date. Over those seven seasons, he led his teams to a total of nine cross country championships including five consecutive NECC Championships on the women's side from 2008 to 2012 and four consecutive NECC Championships on the men's side from 2009 to 2012. His 2010- and 2011-Women's Team, who will be inducted into the Hall tonight, recorded perfect scores in their respective championship meets with a score of 15 points.

Over his career, he mentored a total of 62 All-Conference selections including 38 women and 24 men. He championed a total of eight Conference Runner of the Year honorees, five female and three males in addition to a total of six Conference Rookie of the Year picks, with three in each gender.

Flynn was named the NECC Cross Country Coach of the Year on three separate occasions including the 2010 Coach of the Year for both genders.

Lani [Cabral-Pini] Gonzalez '09 – Women's Soccer, Basketball, Softball (Student-Athlete)

Gonzalez was a three-sport student-athlete with the Lynx, playing women's soccer, basketball, and softball.

Lani made an immediate impact at Lesley and was named the 2005 Women's Soccer Rookie of the Year, the Lesley Athletics Rookie of the Year and earned a Lesley University Impact Award.

As a sophomore, she received the McKenna Inspiration Award in addition to earning NAC All-Conference honors in soccer. She followed it up with First Team All-Conference honors during both her junior soccer & softball season, helping the Softball team win the NAC Conference Championship in 2008.

Her Lesley career culminated with an outstanding senior year when she earned First Team All-Conference honors for the second straight season in both soccer and softball in addition to an All-Conference honorable mention nod on the basketball team, while playing in integral role in Conference Championship wins in both basketball and softball.

As a soccer player, Lani played in 74 games, starting 69 in the midfield and ended her career with 62 points on 22 goals and 18 assists.

On the court, she played in 102 games, starting 95 and finished with 589 points, 282 rebounds, 237 steals, 220 assists and four blocks.

Leah Miller '14 – Women's Cross Country/Track & Field (Student-Athlete)

Miller was part of the Women's Cross Country team from 2010-2013 and earned numerous accolades as a member of the Lynx, kicking off her career as the NECC Rookie of the Year in 2010 after a second place finish in the Conference Championship meet to earn 1st Team All-Conference honors.

In 2011, she followed it up with NECC Runner of the Year honors and then earned her third straight 1st Team All-Conference nod with a second-place finish at the 2012 NECC Championship meet. She capped her illustrious career with her second NECC Runner of the Year selection with another win in the 2013 NECC Championship and went on to become the first runner in program history to earn All-New England Honors with a top-30 finish in the 2013 Regional Meet which featured a field of nearly 400 runners.

Miller culminated her career with four First Team All-Conference selections, a Rookie of the Year award and two Runner of the Year honors. In addition to these accomplishments, she was named the NECC Runner of the Week on nine separate occasions as well as the New England Runner of the Week once during her senior season.

She still holds the Lesley Women's Cross Country records for times in both a 5K and 6K meet.

In addition to her dominance in Cross Country, Miller set several Track & Field records at Lesley including the 10,000 meter, 5,000 meter, 3,000 meter, 1-mile, 1,500 meter and 1,000 meter events.

Kaitlyn Wechsler '11 – Women's Basketball & Volleyball (Student-Athlete)

Kaitlyn was a two-sport standout athlete at Lesley on the court for both the volleyball and basketball programs, as well as the classroom, earning several Academic All-Conference honors during her time in Cambridge.

Recruited for hoops, she put together a Hall of Fame career graduating as the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,471 points and a .478 career shooting percentage, adding 486 rebounds, 160 steals, 151 assists and 28 blocks. She was named an All-Conference selection all four seasons, and was the first player in program history to be invited to the New England Women's Basketball Association Senior All-Star Game in 2011. In addition to stuffing the stat sheet, she helped the program post back-to-back NECC Conference Championships in 2009 and 2010 with consecutive 17-win seasons, which is still the single-season program record.

Kaitlyn joined the Women's Volleyball team as a sophomore and was a mainstay in their lineup, playing in 77 career matches and recording 445 kills, 295 digs and 126 blocks over her three seasons. She made an immediate impact and helped the Lynx capture the 2008 NECC conference championship and ended her volleyball career on a high note with another NECC conference title in 2010 making her a two-sport, two-time conference champ with the Lynx.

Kaitlyn studied education and is now a highly respected Elementary School teacher and three-sport coach at her school.

Scott Wheeler '10 – Men's Soccer, Volleyball & Tennis (Student-Athlete)

As one of the first male student-athletes recruited to Lesley, Scott was asked to do a little bit of everything for the Lynx, finding his way into the starting lineup for the men's soccer, volleyball and tennis programs and eventually served as a team captain for all three teams. He was Mr. Lesley… literally… He won the pageant.

He was a member of the inaugural men's soccer team and over his career played in 77 games, recording 32 points on 13 goals and six assists and was a perfect 5-for-5 on penalty kicks. He was a three-time all-conference selection and as a senior was named the NECC Men's Soccer Player of the Year, helping the team to a program-record 15-wins.

Scott walked on to the men's volleyball team and over the course of three seasons appeared in 59 matches recording 377 digs and 320 kills.

He also was a member of the men's tennis program for two seasons and over his career picked up a total of 13 wins combined in singles and doubles action.

In addition to being a phenomenal athlete, Scott also earned Academic All-Conference honors in all three sports.

Wheeler graduated from Lesley in 2010 where he studied Business.

Dudley Williams III '10 – Threshold Program (Contributor)

Although Dudley never competed for the Lynx, his avid support and loyalty to all the teams were a staple during his time in Lesley's Threshold Program.

AD Campagna had the distinct pleasure to meet Dudley in 2024 at the inaugural Hall of Fame Induction and he was one of the first attendees there to support and celebrate his former classmates and colleagues entering in the inaugural class. Campagna thought that was inspiring to know that his fandom and devotion of Lesley Athletics is as passionate today as it was when he was a student at the University. Included below is an excerpt from one of the nominations that came in for Dudley, submitted by a former Lesley student-athlete.

"I'm nominating Dudley Williams III because there was no one person more dedicated to making our athletics events than Dudley during my time at Lesley. He was an incredible fan and was full of positivity for all our student-athletes. If you ask anyone at Lesley while Dudley was there and even after, EVERYONE knows that Dudley is our #1, unwavering superfan. As someone that was, often times, only cheered on by my parents throughout my career, I didn't expect to find support from someone that didn't have a familial reason to be at our games. But looking back, Dudley was in fact family. Part of the Lesley Athletics Family and he truly was (and continues to be) such a positive and bright light in the world of Lesley Athletics."

2011 Women's Cross Country (Team)

The 2011 Women's XC team was one of the program's top all-time teams. The roster featured 11 runners representing all four academic grades, featuring its core in the sophomore class.

The team raced in a total of seven meets during the fall season and went up against the likes of programs such as Northeastern University, BC, BU, Tufts, MIT and other regional juggernauts, and the Lynx always held their own.

The squad hit its stride in October, posting a team win at the Emmanuel Saints Invitational, beating out 16 other squads including a very good Babson program, in their final race before the NECC Championship meet.

At the 2011 NECC Championship Race, the Lynx pulled off a feat that at the time was believed to be a first in NCAA history. For the second straight season, the team posted a perfect score of 15 points to capture the conference championship crown for the fourth consecutive year, landing eight runners in the top-10 for All-Conference honors.

Miller, Elize McKelvey, Anatasia Lutkevich, Keryn Thorvaldsen, Noa Kupfer, Kat Vicino, Jacqueline Rosa and Elissa May all earned All-Conference honors.

The team went on to compete at the NCAA Division III Regional to close the season and put together the program's best team showing with a 23rd place finish out of 51 competing teams.
